Piano Tuning Appointment Checklist
To help your appointment run as smoothly as possible — and give your piano the best opportunity for a great tuning — please take a few moments to prepare using the checklist below:
Set the room temperature to its normal level at least 1–2 hours before your appointment, and keep the temperature and conditions stable during the tuning.
Close windows and doors where possible, and avoid significant changes to the room environment while your piano is being tuned.
Clear the top of the piano, including pictures, candles, ornaments and any other items. This allows your technician to safely open the piano and access the tuning area.
Move any furniture or other items that may block access to the piano.
Minimise loud noises and vibrations during the appointment. Sounds and vibrations from washing machines, vacuum cleaners, tumble dryers, construction or DIY work, loud televisions, music, or nearby machinery can interfere with the tuning process. Where possible, please avoid these activities while your piano is being tuned.
Provide parking and access information in advance. If there are specific parking instructions, building entry details, gate codes or other useful information, please share these with your tuner before the appointment.

Let us know about any known issues with your piano when booking. Whether it's a sticking key, unusual noise, broken string or anything else, knowing in advance allows your technician to arrive prepared.
